Sarah Connell, Local Author

Come and meet Sarah Connell who will discuss her novel about the migration crisis ‘Where Are You Now?’. The character of the asylum seeker in the story is based on a real person who came to Wakefield District City of Sanctuary for help. Sarah was first published at the age of 70 and now has three novels, with another one on the way. Wakefield is the setting for her writing and her characters. Sarah will talk about how she came to be published and what she has learnt in the process.

Greetings!! After a good chunk of years in hiding, I'm finally doing a proper Saturday night hometown acoustic show, which means some original songs, some covers, and maybe even a special guest or two, all done in a (mostly) acoustic stylee. It should be good fun!

We're celebrating on Saturday with a little party with friends and family we've met along the way!

Broken Flowers are a Leeds based band playing predominantly original songs. Their music could be loosely classed as Americana / Country Rock influenced - but it also draws on their individuality and musical influences which in turn creates a unique blending of styles.
